SoundBridge President Rachel Kim recently presented a lecture-concert titled “Stories of Faith and Life in Song” at Vaughan Community Senior Centre.
This interactive program invited participants to explore the stories, history, and meaning behind many well-loved songs while enjoying live performances and opportunities to sing together. The event created a warm and engaging atmosphere where music became a bridge for conversation, reflection, and shared memories.
The response from attendees was overwhelmingly positive. Many participants expressed appreciation for the fresh and unique format, and the high level of audience engagement made the program especially meaningful. Seeing seniors actively participate, share their experiences, and connect through music was a wonderful reminder of the power of music to bring people together.
The success of this lecture-concert reflects SoundBridge’s ongoing commitment to creating enriching musical experiences for seniors. In addition to live performances, we look forward to developing more educational, interactive, and community-focused programs that inspire connection, joy, and lifelong engagement with music.

SoundBridge Society participated in the 2026 Spring Brunch Concert hosted by the Adult Disability Community in Toronto.
This fundraising event brought together over 270 attendees and was held to support programs promoting the well-being and inclusion of individuals with disabilities.
Through a heartfelt performance, SoundBridge Society shared music as a way to connect, encourage, and uplift the community.
The concert was a meaningful opportunity to come together through music and contribute to a cause that supports dignity, inclusion, and care.
SoundBridge Society was invited to be part of the Open School program at Pierre Elliott Trudeau Public School in Oshawa, a JK–Grade 8 community school focused on student engagement and well-being .

On March 8, 2026, SoundBridge Society presented a special International Women’s Day Celebration Concert at Chartwell Grenadier Retirement Residence in Toronto. The concert was hosted and organized by Concerts in Care Ontario, who invited us to share this meaningful afternoon with the residents.
Violinist Hanna Kim and pianist Rachel Kim performed an engaging program that was warmly received by the audience. Residents responded with enthusiastic applause, and many shared how deeply moved they were by the performance. One resident even commented that the concert was “15 out of 10” and one of the best performances they had experienced.

Jane Finch Reaching Up Music School Christmas Concert

For the first time since the pandemic, the Jane Finch Reaching Up Music School held its Christmas Concert. It was a joyful and meaningful gathering where students, who have worked hard throughout the year, and volunteer teachers (SoundBridge artists) came together to encourage and celebrate one another.
The program featured a wide variety of performances—from adorable student carols to piano solos and violin performances, teacher-student duets, and a beautiful ensemble by Philharmonia. It was truly a diverse and heartwarming concert.
We look forward to coming together again next year!

SoundBridge Society took part in the Guatemala Mission Fundraising Concert, sharing music to support the 2026 mission work.
Violinist Hanna Kim, soprano Youngsong Lee, and pianists Christine Bae & Elizabeth Kim presented a heartfelt program of classical, sacred, and Christmas music.
The evening was warm, joyful, and filled with generosity.
All donations were dedicated to supporting mission efforts in Guatemala.

On November 24, SoundBridge Society visited Lakeshore Lodge Long-Term Care Home to present another heartwarming Senior Outreach Concert with Concerts in Care (CIC).
Residents listened with deep attention—some smiling softly, others moving gently to the music—and the atmosphere quickly became one of connection and comfort.
At the end of the program, we closed the concert with familiar Christmas songs, inviting everyone to sing together.
Hearing the residents’ voices join in created a touching moment of unity that beautifully wrapped up the afternoon. 🎄💛

On the first snowy day of the season, SoundBridge was invited to present a Fall Music Concert at KW Korean Presbyterian Church.

Piarmonia Piano Ensemble presented a beautiful fundraising concert in support of Reaching Up (Jane–Finch) at Knox Presbyterian Church on October 25, 2025.
Through heartfelt music and community generosity, the event successfully gathered both financial donations and essential goods.
All funds and donated items from the concert will be delivered through Reaching Up to support children and youth in the Jane–Finch community.
